Dramatic? Swimming and parks!

So on my message board I was voted most dramatic, and I'm halfway hurt about it, and halfway totally understanding. Do I call things as I see them, absolutely! I don't sugar coat things, and I don't apologize for the truth...but I don't think that I start drama, and I certainly attempt to be as friendly as possible. Eh, whatever, it's sorta a backhanded compliment. Anyway, I'm going to work on this, so that I don't come across as a drama queen, and more of the friendly person that I am.

Anyway, moving on so this weekend we took Dawson swimming for the first time! He didn't dislike it, but he wasn't jumping up and down excited...speaking of jumping up and down, we bought him a johnny jump up, but he just wants to chew on the straps. So much for jumping. We also took him to the park for a picnic and we laid on the grass (on a blanket)and watched the ducks and it was a good time. We love the sunny weekends! I'll post pictures later, I don't have my camera with me at work.

I didn't vote on categories that could be taken as insults, like that one. I doubt anyone meant it to be bad though! You speak your mind and are strong in your convictions, and that's awesome!

I am sorry it hurt your feelings I quit voting b/c I felt it was a popularity contest (who I am kidding I quit b/c I wasn't voted for anything ;) Anyways don't worry I know you are a friendly person and that superlative is a little backhanded-sorry. I can't wait to see pics of Dawson-I haven't seen any in a while and he is so handsome. I haven't forgot about the fireman onesies-I am SO SORRY but things have been a little crazy-I WILL get them in the mail this week I promise!! It sounds like you had a great time at the park-YAY for sunny days!!

As my student from Mexico taught me, take the comments from who they're coming from. I had to leave iV because of the drama. People interpret what they want to out of what's typed in front of them. I don't think you're dramatic. That means that you make things up to be more than they are. Like you said, you just state things as you see them. Thumbs down to the dramatic vote.

Another thought... Who created such a category to vote upon? Being deamed "dramatic" isn't something you'd proudly wear as a siggy. It seems to me that whoever created this poll, and the dramatic title needs to wear it herself. Stupid.

Aww, I'm sorry it hurt your feelings girl! If it makes you feel better, the whole "popular girl" thing kinds hurt my feelings just a smidge because I know what the "popular girls" were like in high school and I wasn't a fan. I hope I don't come across like that!

Sounds like your weekend was a BLAST! I'll have to take a lesson from you and try to do something like that this next weekend since we finally don't have to house hunt! Woo hoo!

I'm sorry your feelings got hurt! I don't think you are dramatic at all. For aslong as I knew you on Iv you never came across as dramatic.

I am glad I am not the only one whose son didn't jump in the Johnny Jumper. When my son was a baby a good friend whose son was a week younger than him had a Johnny Jumper and her son loved it. So one night when we were over we put my son in it, he as content to play with the toys on the little tray it had, he wouldn't jump, and when he got excited and the thing bounced he wanted out. I guess maybe some kids aren't the jumping type. However 4 yrs later I can't get him to stop jumping off of things. I think I would have rather had him jumping in the Johnny Jumper than now when he can get hurt LOL

Strangely enough, I never even associated the "most dramatic" superlative with "most likely to cause drama" - I'm with Nicole in thinking it was more along the lines of "most passionate". I'm sorry it hurt your feelings, but I'm guessing that most people who voted for you meant it as a compliment!

OHMIGOD Mandie I am sooooo sorry! Totally not what it was meant to be! Honestly I figured if someone didn't want a category we would have taken it out. I just kinda cut and pasted towards the end...there was just so much to keep up on! I totally apologize if you were upset by it! If it makes you feel any better - I didn't vote for you! I am so sorry dude! Feel free to email b*tch me out :)All love my dear!!! Please forgive me!

Hi!

I didn't associate it with causing drama either. I voted for you because you have flair!
