3 month/Easter/Family pics!!!

BTW- My awesome coworker, Cynthia, made Dawson's hat that he's wearing in these pictures, and this has been my single favorite baby gift, ever.

Yeah, it's been a week.

So tomorrow, we have Easter/3 months pictures and I'm super excited b/c I don't have a decent picture of Me and D at all. Daniel is an awful picture taker, he sucks, really badly!

and I have a hair appointment...I'm trying to decide if I should go back blonde or keep the current darker color. Daniel says darker, but then again his celebrity crushes are Katy Perry and Kat Von D...so of course he wants darker.

Dawson is growing, growing, growing, and we have our first real cold. We got shots, and then Dawson gets a cold. I hate it! Bless his little heart, cough and congestion. I did take him to the doctor, of course it's just a cold! Nothing serious, but I still stayed up all night, listening to make sure he was okay, and checking on him every 30 minutes. I should have just put him in the bed with me, but I don't want to get him out of his routine.

That's all folks, nothing else new to report!

An update.

I bought non maternity jeans, finally...and I look and feel great in them!!! It's amazing, I'm still 20lbs more than I'd like to be, but I feel pretty good about myself these days...it also helps that I got the best compliment ever..from a man, and not my family or my husband...One of Daniel's coworkers said I didn't look like I had a baby 12 weeks ago. It made me feel great!

In other news, Dawson is teething...yes I said teething, at 12 weeks old...WTH? So that leaves me to find a tiny teether that actually fits in his tiny mouth. I bought 3 different types and ordered a raz berry teether (google it.)

I've decided that I will be making Dawson's baby food...and I'm totally excited about it. I've ordered a book and will start making it and freezing it soon! Can't wait!

My sister and her children are in a pretty bad turmoil right now, pray for them.

Daniel starts his new job on the 23rd! New fire department, new guys, new academy :( and less pay...we'll manage, he's super thrilled about it!

Dawson started full time day care today :( With Daniel starting at the new department it isn't convenient for him to keep him, so we've started him full time with Ms. Connie (she's awesome with him)I'm still a little bit bummed about it. I wish I didn't have to work, but I do...so I can't go there.

Dawson is also wearing 6 months clothes!! How is my 2.5 month old wearing 6 month clothes, you ask? Well he was 25 inches 2 weeks ago, and they don't make 3-6 months clothes long enough.

I want to cloth diaper, but it's super overwhelming, and expensive to start...I think I might not do this. Disappointing.

Thankful Tuesday

I see Denise do this every week, and I've decided to participate. Today's theme is to post about whatever you're thankful for....so here's my list:

1. I'm thankful for my beautiful, HEALTHY, intelligent, loving son. He's my heart and I can't picture life without him.

2. I'm thankful for my amazing husband, his support guides me through the darkest days.

3. I'm thankful that I grew up with a great mother, who always put my needs first.

4. I'm thankful that I have a good job, even on the days I don't want to be here.

5. I'm thankful that I can pay my mortgage, in these bad economic times, a lot of people can't do that....I can only imagine how difficult that must be.

6. I'm thankful that I have been given opportunities in life to advance myself...my heart aches for people who have noone standing in their corner.

7. I'm thankful for my health, God willing I'll be around to watch my son grow up.

8. I'm thankful for my puppies! They have given me compassion, that I could not have learned from humans.

9. I'm thankful for my friends, without them, my husband might divorce me due to my constant venting.

10. I'm thankful for extended family, they have taught me the joys that only can be taught by having a large family.

Ugh, I'd rather be at home with my baby!

I make good money, I'm appreciated, and I'm not overworked, I'm very good at the work that I do...but none of that means anything b/c I'd rather be at home cuddling my baby!!
