I'm upset!

With my body! I have 20lbs left to lose from being pregnant, and I've worked my rear end off (Well tried to) to lose it. Running-check, cardio-check, strength training-check...but it won't come off! I've changed my eating habits, and it's so discouraging! Ideally in a perfect world I'd weight about 110lbs, but this isn't a perfect world, so I'll settle for 125, and I can't get there! It's killing me, and I have this horrible self image from it now...any and all advice would greatly appreciated!

UPDATE!! Janell asked for and Stephanie gave her a plan! So I stole it!
Here's my plan:
NO bread, pasta or potatoes
Fruits/Veggies for snack
Salad for lunch
and probably Salad for dinner too or grilled chicken and veggies.
Something sweet=100 calorie pack
TONS OF WATER!!
4 days a week of exercise (either cardio, weights, something!)
let's hope this works....
If all else fails, it's off to the starvation diet!

*hugs* I just saw a pic of myself and realized that my belly isn't as flat as I thought it was. Not that I thought it was superflat, but you know..after having a baby, you feel like you're super skinny again. ugh. I feel your pain!!!!

Ugh, I know the feeling! I thought, hey I look pretty decent, just a little heavier, and then I see pictures :(

Boy oh boy, do I know what you mean!! I feel like any exercising I do isn't doing anything at all, so I might as well not do it. I cried most of the evening yesterday because I was so depressed over it all.... Then I dusted off the 'ol Pilate's DVD, put in the new Wii Active, and brought out some one pound weights.. Hope to GOD that this works..... GOOD LUCK MANDIE! Stick with it! It's always the last 15 pounds that are the hardest to lose.

Hi Mandie!!! I've been doing Weight Watchers Online for a week now and have already lost 4 pounds. So far I'm loving it. I'm like you...I'm at 143 now and really want to be at 130 but the weight is NOT BUDGING this time around. Good luck hun...dont starve yourself okay? :0)

I've been tracking what I eat on babyfit.com

It makes me realize what seems good for you, isn't always. And portion control!

You can do it! Dont beat yourself up! You have been exercsing and eating well. I have used my Wii fit twice and jogged once...and I was training for a marathon before I got pregant! LOL In my eyes you are a swimsuit model and I am modeling the robes! hahaha!

I am right there with you. It's funny because in the beginning, it dropped off supa fast! I was like, "Hey, I'll be back in size 4 in no time!" Yeah. I'm finally only a few pounds from pre-preg weight but nowhere near a size 4. Our bodies change and it sucks. But then you look at your little miracle and it makes it so worth it. I think it's going to take either a tummy tuck or a miracle from God to get my stomach anywhere close to resembling what it once did. But I second Jennifer - weight watchers online is awesome! Honestly, if I've learned nothing in my dieting past, it's been that the whole "no carbs/fad diets" do NOT work. Weight Watchers is honestly the best diet out there. AND the easiest. You get to eat carbs and sweets and whatever the h*ll you want and the weight falls off. Seriously...you should check it out! :) Okay, I'm done with my novel now. But I've seen pictures of you and you look GREAT, so I don't really know what you're talking about, mama!

Mandie,

I highly suggest trying the meal plans at www.sparkpeople.com (or www.babyfit.com if you're nursing). You have to get in that perfect balance of food types and calories. I was a WL counselor for nearly three years and I learned a lot. Those two sites are free and they will set you up with workouts and meal plans (that are customizable) based on YOUR body and YOUR needs. Keep it up and you will see results. :)

Even after losing 42 pounds, I still look pregnant! I swear, I'm afraid to take the train because I know someone would give up a seat for me.

My solution is to wear a girdle. Yes, I am in my 20's (barely ;) and wear a friggin girdle.

Oh - a diet that used to work for me that I will do the SECOND this kids weans: the lemon juice/maple syrup/ cayenne pepper diet. Google it!

I am right there with you chica...like exactly with you. I have 18lbs left to go (to my ideal weight): 13lbs to "eh-ok" weight. I've lost 40 already but the last few won't come off...no matter what I do. So yeah...I am right there with you! I wish I had advice, but I don't. I'm sorry - just know if you need to complain about it I will listen!

I feel your pain. I still have not lost all of the weight from having my son 4 1/2 yrs ago - so don't feel bad. Here are my suggestions for what has helped jump start my weight loss once it stalled.
1. Weight Watchers - I do online it works best for me.

2. Exercise - even if it is just walking just do something active everyday

3. Food Journal - with Weight Watchers you write down points so it really shows you what you are eating. If you don't do a "program" just writing down what you eat will help you see where you can improve.

4. If you still are having problems losing weight I would suggest seeing your Dr for some blood work. I found out that my thyroid has been low since I had my son, which can happen after pregnancy. If I had discovered this earlier I might have been able to lose the weight sooner.

Good Luck!

Good luck, I hope my plan works for you! WW didn't work for me. I had to learn what I can/can't eat. For me, eating the bread, potatoes and pasta is BAD. Even in small quantities, I won't lose the weight. So hopefully this works for you like it's been working for me :)
