I finally did it.

I've been lusting after a DSLR camera since Dawson was just a few weeks old. I never could justify the cost and kept putting it off. Well I finally (with the input of my husband of course) bit the bullet and bought one. It's nothing too fancy since I have no idea how to really use it, but it's a Canon eos Rebel t3. All the reviews says it's great for a beginner and I'm so excited to learn about how to use it properly. I can't wait to actually use it and learn a thing or 2 about it. Now to figure that part out...

i have a Rebel xsi, and i LOVE it. the Rebels really are great for beginners... i use the fully automatic function when i NEED to capture the moment in a good way, and mess around with the fully automatic/semi automatic functions when i'm not trying to capture once in a lifetime moments. have fun with your new camera!

I started out with a Canon Rebel XT and kept it for 5 years. It's awesome. You'll love it. Read a lot of tutorials, read the manual and just keep practicing. You'll get it before too long and won't regret your investment.

That's great! Rob loved his Canon Rebel.. for all of a week. That sounds bad but for Rob and technology that was a long time! LOL! It really is a great beginners camera though!
