Life is officially back on schedule as of today. Daniel is back at the fire department, and his schedule will be as follows...
Beginning today:
Monday 24 hours
Tuesday 12 hours
Wednesday 24 hours
Thursday 12 hours
Friday 24 hours
Saturday OFF
Sunday 24 hours
Monday OFF
Tuesday 24 hours
Wednesday OFF
Thursday 12 hours
Friday 12 hours
Saturday 12 hours
Sunday OFF
and then it will start all over again.
I'm okay with being the primary care taker, and Daniel's schedule has never really bothered me before, but I'm scared that the time away may put a break in Daniel's relationship with D. I know how much Daniel loves him, and he's been so amazing with him the last two weeks, I just hope that can continue. I don't want Daniel to feel like the inferior parent, and we already have the time issues going against him.

I found your blog a while ago - searching for other FFWs. I can SO relate to when DH went back to shift for us! I was actually scared. But...it never put a strain on his relationship with our munchkin! Sometimes...I almost think it strengthened it. And...sometimes...I can admit...I am a tad jealous. She is stuck with me all day and then he comes home and it's the new fresh face that she'd rather have!
So I think it will be okay - in fact - I know it will be!
Sure isn't easy being a new mom with a hubby that is a firefighter is it! But...it will all work out!
